We invite all the participants to present their ongoing research in the form of posters at the HTCC3. You will have top-notch experts right by your sides, with whom you will have an opportunity to discuss your work, ask questions, or just show off a bit – why not, you’ve deserved it after all. We have seen at the previous HTCCs, that this form of interactivity is highly appreciated by both students and teachers. In fact, very often we had to drag people from the posters (interrupting brutally vivid scientific conversations), in order to keep the workshop going according to the schedule.
Anyway, your poster should not exceed the standard 90 cm x 120 cm (w x h, respectively). You should keep an eye on the important dates, not to miss the deadline to send us the abstract, in order to secure your work to be listed and presented in the programme book. And, yes, send us your abstract to huk@irb.hr as an MS Word file, simply as an attachment. And then, bring your poster with you.

IUCr
IUCr Journals awards a prize for the best student poster.
The prize will be a certificate and a copy of “Symmetry Aspects of M. C. Escher’s Periodic Drawings”.
Dectris
The “DECTRIS” best poster award focuses on
- innovative approach to problems
- collaborative spirit
- knowledge sharing
Impress the judges not only with your creative solution, but also with you clear and concise communication. First, let your poster tell the story (a picture is worth thousand words!). Second, present the big picture of your project. Third, present your group.
1-2-3, as easy as that!

All participants, all posters.
Award:
The award winner will get 100 Eur to celebrate the outcomes of the project with his/her colleagues. The winner also gets an opportunity to promote his/her work (and group) in a form of a short article on the DECTRIS website.
Crystals
The “Crystals” best poster award at the HTCC3 will focus on poster presentations characterized by excellence in research, clarity of presentation, and personal knowledge and understanding of the matter revealed in a discussion with the judges. Judges will thoroughly examine all eligible posters during the poster sessions, and engage in a scientific chat with the presenting authors.
Eligibility:
All posters presented by young scientists (max. 35 years of age at the time of the ECS3) which are NOT in-press or already published will be taken into consideration. Presenting author must be available during the poster sessions.
Award:
The award winner will get an opportunity to publish a paper in “Crystals” free of charge.
