This hands-on session will give participants the experience of exploring 3D macromolecular structure data using the PDBe website, including the use of a number of tools to more easily access and interpret data in PDB entries.

Learning outcomes

  • Search, retrieve, and assess the quality of structural data from the PDB and EMDB archives to find the best structure for your needs
  • Visualise and analyze structures, including viewing annotations to extend knowledge of the molecule of interest
  • Assess protein-ligand interactions and analyze binding sites to identify features important to ligand binding
